About this blog:

On May 20, 2000, I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University. And what better way to celebrate selling my soul to the University of Wisconsin graduate school than by spending five weeks in Europe? Since Europe is allegedly riddled with these "cyber-cafés," I plan to update this travel weblog as often as possible to let loved ones know how i'm doing, and what they're missing. I'll periodically check my email from over there, too, so drop me a line.

5:33 AM... It may only be 11:30 in the PM or so here in Kentucky, to which I have now returned, but as you can see from the times stamp here is certainly feels like 5:30 AM. I am tired, so this post shan't be too detailed. However, I did fly out of Charles de Gaulle this morning at 12:45 or so (France time), a couple hours after the crash, which I didn't learn of until after reaching the Pittsburg International Airport, en route to Louisville, where my parent picked me up and took me out to some good old Kentucky barbecque and Mark's Feed Store. More on the remainder of the trip later. Right now: sleep is first priority.
